About Me
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist #153121, living in Los Angeles and serving clients from across the state of California remotely.
I hold a Masters of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Southern California (USC) and Bachelors of Arts in Education from the University of Michigan. At USC, I took a special interest in the treatment of trauma in individuals and within family systems. As a grad student, I worked at Pelican Cove Counseling Centers where I supported a range of clients managing trauma or life transitions while receiving training in psychodynamic approaches to treatment.
After graduation, I pursued foundational training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) while also developing an integrated and relational treatment approach. I applied this training in my private practice and also at a comprehensive DBT treatment center, where I supported clients who were experiencing severe depression, anxiety, and emotional dysregulation. I also acted as the primary therapist and group leader for parents and families of young people who were struggling with persistent emotional and behavioral difficulties.
Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked as an educator and educational consultant for ten years in New York City, specializing in the intersection of neurodivergence and anti-bias practices. I continue to partner with schools in the LA area that are developing practices to support students and families experiencing emotional, cognitive, or systemic challenges.
In my current practice, I see a range of clients over telehealth and serve as a DBT Specialist and Parent Coach at Visions Treatment Center. Although I have specialized training with certain populations, I find I work well with any client that resonates with my approach.
I am not currently paneled with any insurance companies, though I can offer superbills for insurance reimbursement.
